Panoramic roofs are becoming more popular on more and more vehicles. Jeep has their Liberty with the Sky Slider option. A full canvas top that retracts to give you the ultimate sunroof. Panoramic roofs can be tough to find aftermarket racks for. Here at Rack Attack we have options. On this particular Liberty we have installed a Thule track system rack that can be removed in seconds for use of the sky slider. When installed it carries 165lbs of weight. We added the Thule Spirit Cargo Box to the rack, this 16 cubic foot cargo box can carry anything from your ski’s to luggage, a locking container that keeps your gear out of the elements. Generally we can get a rack on almost any vehicle. This system or alternatives can be installed at anyone of our 8 rack attack locations. We also can get you set up with do-it-yourself kits if our locations are too far away from you.

Can you open the roof with the cross bars on? Is there enough clearance? I ask because I have a Sky Slider and am looking for a rack to carry my kayaks.
No, the towers and bars need to be removed, but they do “pop” off in seconds
I would like some information on your do it yourself kit for the rack for a 2010 jeep liberty with the sky slider roof. Specifically, the cost and an idea of the level of difficulty in installation.
Shannon,
This system took me 3 hours to install and is very difficult. I would take this system to your local body shop to have them install it. I did it for $300. If you have any question or simply would like a quote contact us at 1.888.399.RACK (7225)
How can I get one in Reno nv?
You would be able to contact our stores and place an order online for this system. I would go to your local body shop to have them install it. If you have any questions you can contact us at 1.888.399.RACK (7225)
My wife really likes the Sky Slider but we have a kayak and need to have a roof rack. Which Thule base system did you use for this install? We live in PA so cant come to you for the install,
Dan,
We use a modified Thule Top Track 42 with flarenut fastners. Option one ( FK 3101) (460 Podium fixpoint feet) (58 inch crossbars) and Lock Cylinders (544). Displayed in the photo we used Thule (430 Tracker II towers) a (TK1) and (58 inch crossbars). Your local body shop should be able to install this for you. It took me about 3 hours. If you have any questions you can contact us at 1.888.399.RACK (7225).
What do you mean by modified Top Track 42?
